Position Overview:
As a Health Care Aide, you will promote the health, safety, and comfort of clients by supporting their day-to-day physical, emotional, and social needs. Your role is essential in improving quality of life and supporting independence within their care setting.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Supporting clients with mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion activities
- Assisting with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional monitoring
- Observing and reporting changes in physical or mental condition
- Providing companionship and emotional reassurance
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety of the care environment
- Complying with infection prevention and control procedures
- Accurately documenting all care provided and client observations

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all the following criteria and submit a complete application:
- Updated resume detailing relevant caregiving or healthcare experience
- Active registration with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past 6 months
- Proof of medical clearance and immunizations (including TB test and influenza vaccine)
- Previous experience in long-term care, supportive living, or home care settings is an asset
